Question by First N: Why do people say upgrade from regional to major airline is impossible?
Is it REALLY REALLY impossible? Or does it depend on one's flying hours and background?
How fierce is it to get hired by major airlines?
I want to be airline pilot and I am afraid I might end up in regional

No its not impossible, Many pilots hired by major airlines were Regional Pilots before working for majors.

If you're Afraid of ending up in a Regional Flying isn't for you, You're just going to clutter the market more and you aren't dedicated to it. People who belong in the job are the ones who Just love to fly and if it pays enough for a Roof and a bit of food/utilities it works.
Infact, 90% of the Flight instructors I know work two jobs, and that's Block one after your commercial license.
The first ten years of your flying career are going to be crummy, Live with it or find a different Job.
